Steam’s Fresh Batch Of Greenlit Games Includes ‘Minecraft With Guns’

Of course, Guncraft is just one of the eight games (and three software titles) the community approved for Steam-driven distribution last week. We’ve got a jungle survival game, a supernatural adventure-thriller, and even a mining adventure set on Mars. Let’s dive right in.

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller

An episodic point-and-click adventure game series starring an FBI agent with paranormal powers, on the hunt for the serial killer who murdered her brother.

Day One : Garry’s Incident

A first-person survival game where you, a veteran pilot in his early 40s, crash-land in the jungles of Amazon and are forced to survive against the odds.

Guncraft

A Minecraft-esque voxel-based multiplayer shooter featuring block-based building, customisable classes, and the ability to craft your own guns (surprise!).

Homesick

A first-person point-and-click adventure-puzzle game with a focus on high quality visuals and starkly different day and night gameplay modes.

In Verbis Virtus

A first-person fantasy action-puzzle game where you use a microphone to cast spells in-game by actually saying the magic words out loud.

Super Motherload

A sequel to the developer’s earlier Motherload, this casual co-op adventure-RPG has you dig under the surface of Mars for valuable minerals, which you can sell to upgrade your digger and go even deeper.

Vector

A side-scrolling free-running platformer with over 50 levels and lifelike animations.

Verdun

A co-operative, massively multiplayer online squad-based FPS which takes place during World War I.

Along with the eight games above, three software titles were also greenlit. These are:

Actual Multiple Monitors

A program that improves Windows’ handling of multiple monitors, and adds new features such as a multi-monitor taskbar.

FL Studio 11

A fully featured music production suite that offers free lifetime updates.

Leadwerks 3: Steam Edition

A “visual tool for making any kind of 3D game” similar to Valve’s Hammer Editor.

It’s all about adventure games this time around. Personally, I’m looking forward to trying Super Motherload. What about you?
