I have to admit, that’s a pretty great launch lineup. Something for everyone.
wha?! no titanfall?!
Nuh uh. Can’t see anything there for me!
I think its terrible, only 1 game i’m getting (watchdogs) and 3 maybes depending on how then end up, (Ryse, fighter and dead rising)
Not exactly what i’d call a stellar line up. Maybe if Titan fall was at release and Kinect sports wasn’t delayed I’d feel better.
Not that it matters i’m getting both consoles day 1 anyway. On 2nd thought if those maybes turn out to be good games, it becomes a pretty awesome line.
Best launch line-up in 2 gens I reckon (MS & Sony)
Yeah both consoles have a very competitive line up. Xbox will have Titanfall and DR3 (personally I don’t like DR3), where as PS4 has Killzone, free to plays titles and indie games.
And inFamous! inFamous: Second Son is pretty much the only launch title I’m super excited about. But I’ll probably hold off until 2014 to actually pick up a new PS4.
Yeah, I think I’m gonna be canceling my preorder and buying a console from the US at a later time.. Theres just no point in spending more to get the console at launch if the only game I want doesnt come out ‘at launch’
Yeah.. The PS4 has almost 10 more games and I still dont feel that theres anything thats ‘game changing’ enough for me to need one of the consoles at launch 🙁 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-08-21-playstation-4-launch-line-up-revealed
Peggle 2. Game of the Launch
Pre ordering now!
Peggle’s I put a lot of hours into Peggle, a LOT of hours. I can see myself doing the same for the sequel.
Got BF4 and Watch Dogs preordered. That and my huge 360 pile of shame will tide me over until Destiny and Titanfall are out.
And GTA 5 on Sept. 17th 😛
Hooray, nothing at all I want on either console!
Weird thing to celebrate I know, but it means I can afford to wait for a while & not spend money I can’t afford
The only thing that interests me is the Blakes 7 reboot via microsoft tv. So knowing that OZ probably won’t get access for quite awhile. I will wait…
Dr3 and Cod are my first titles……also I’m gonna have a cod Lan 30th Nov at my house….if your in WA Perth and want in let me know 😀
I build a lan/games room in my backyard 😀
People saying “nothing interesting there” are obviously not the console’s target audience…
Assassins Creed 4
Battlefield 4
Forza 5
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
Madden 25
NBA 2K14
Watch Dogs
These are all AAA titles.
I reckon playing Watch Dogs on my new Xbox One will be a great experience akin to playing The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion when the Xbox360 launched (well, Oblivion was a couple of months later).
Also like;
– Max Payne/ Halo with Xbox original.
– Sonic Adventure with Dreamcast.
– Mario 64 with N64.
– Wipeout with PlayStation.
– Sonic the Hedgehog with MegaDrive.
– Super Mario Bros. with NES.
– Alex Kidd with the Master System… etc.
Having a great game get you into “the zone” has always been that surreal feeling we all seek with our shiny new systems.
Alright fellas, here’s the skinny.
The Xbox One has 23 games.
Of those 23 games, 6 of them are NOT sequels, remakes or a game from a previously established series.
Of those 23 games, 9 of them are exclusive to the Xbox One. Of those 9, 1 of them is a timed exclusive (Peggle 2).
Of those 23 games, 5 of them are both original IPs and exclusive.
Let’s look at the 9 exclusive games.
Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, Peggle 2, Powerstar Golf, Zoo Tycoon, Dead Rising 3, Fighter Within, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome.
I want to see how the PS4’s launch list compares.
Wait, why did I reply to doubledizz?
Well, whatever the case, only 1 of those 7 AAA games he mentioned are exclusives.
So what.. what’s your point? The article wasn’t about launch exclusives.
I guess my point is if I was interested in getting one of the next gen systems, I’d base my decision on the exclusives.
I know. Every year I feel like I am les of the target audience and all they want to impress are the ‘bro gamers’. Killzone isnt even killzone anymore ffs.
‘bro gamers’ = larger audience. And a console is there to sell as many units as possible.
If you want a broader range of options in your gaming, I recommend a PC =)
Have a pc.
Somewhat disappointed that neither console has exclusives that scream to me “this is the console for you”… Xbox has Forza, Killer Instinct and Ryse; PS4 has Killzone, Knack and Drive Club. All the games that have been announced thus far for 2013 releases are either unappealing or cross-platform… Although those cross-platforms do look awesome…
BF4, LEGO Superheroes and FM5 here I come!
That’s one of the best launch lineups I’ve ever seen. So much variety and some genuinely good games there.
I reckon it’s a good launch as well. So many people have either forgotten or are too young to even remember the balls games that have launched consoles in the past.
I looked at this list , not because I plan on getting a xbone, but to see what types of games are expected to be some of the most popular in the coming months.
Oh dear, I hope this list isn’t indicative of the future of games.
Absolutely nothing for me.
Although they are launch games for the consoles, to me the true launch of these consoles comes when developers make AAA games solely for these consoles and use them to their absolute potential.
watch dogs is all i see in that lineup.
now i need to see the ps4 lineup.
i really havent made my mind up yet.
i will get both eventually but i have no idea which one will be first.
Good line up but personally the thought of playing another COD/Forza/Assassins Creed bores me to tears, that only really leves Dead Rising 3 and Watchdogs, and maybe Battlefield for a shooter so I have a game with long term replayabilty and possiblly Ryse etc if they get good reviews.
But I’ll proberly stick it out will the current Gen+pc for a while anyway depending on cash-flow and availability.
