This isn’t a boy in Beijing playing with crickets. No, it’s a drawing. Make that, an footpath sidewalk drawing.
Over the years, I’ve seen lots of footpath drawings. The best ones are amazing, but they’re usually, but not always, giant holes and images of similar ilk. The one above is a standout.
Recently in Beijing, the Qianmen Historical and Cultural Festival kicked off and will run until August 25. On display, there is some terrific 3D art:

That’s pretty cool, but my first thought – because it’s 4am and I just finished Bioshock Infinite my brain is a little addled – was that from skimming the first sentence and picture, that these pictures were all done by a young boy in beijing with a painbrush, eyeballing it.
Which made me significantly more impressed than I am after having re-read. Still impressed, but where are you, oh shaved-head little artist boy?
I also thought that. I also thought’ “he’s drawing another shaved head little artist boy, who’s drawing another shaved head little …”
GAH, the Japanese are just better at things. When the shaved head little artist boys get small enough they’ll be put to work fist fighting diseases.
Who needs 3D movies when you have glasses free 3D street drawings? 😀
I just read ‘Who needs 3d movies’ and said ‘Noone.’ lol
