Shining Star is basically a game about lens flare. Imagine a video game where you play a lens flare and it is your goal to eat other lens flare. Imagine it. This is obviously J.J. Abrams’ dream game.
Think about it, not only does it make J.J.’s favourite filming technique a central mechanic in the game, it also has the word ‘Star’ in the title. THINK ABOUT IT MAN. Star Trek, Star Wars… Lost. Alright, well I don’t really know how to fit lost into this mess, but seriously: J.J. would love this.
Shining Star is the debut game by Australian developers Smart Galah Games. It’s free until Monday.
