Oh man, this week! Finally! Some games to play. Saints Row IV is finally coming out.
Wait, what? Say that again. I’m not sure I heard you correctly. WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS BEEN DELAYED IN AUSTRALIA.
[Flips tables]
Actually, I’m not too fussed about the game, I can take or leave Saints Row as a series, but it’s the injustice dear friends! The injustice is what stings the stingiest!
Disney Infinity (360/PS3/3DS/Wii/Wii U)
What is it? The product that makes me fear for my financial well being as my child gets older.
Should you care? This is a product that will make a lot of people rich (or richer).
Divekick (PC)
What is it? A parody fighting game that recently got greenlit on Steam.
Should you care? My feeling is that pretty much any game that gets through the Greenlight process on Steam is worth playing, but that’s just me.
Hate Plus (PC)
What is it? Hate Plus is a sort of visual novel thing that’s very interesting. It’s the sequel to Analogue: A Love Story.
Should you care? I’m going to be checking this one out I think. Worth investigating at least.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist (360/PS3)
What is it? The latest Splinter Cell game! Stealth, guns, violence, more stealth.
Should you care? I love stealth games and I really liked the last Splinter Cell, so I’ll be playing this.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (360/PS3/PC)
What is it? That game that used to XCOM, that went through changes galore. It’s actually, finally been released.
Should you care? I’m waiting for reviews on this one. 2K been quiet on this one. Too quiet.
The Wonderful 101 (Wii U)
What is it? ‘Bayonetta for kids’ is how I’ve heard this being described. I want to play it real bad.
Should you care? If you have a Wii U you must play this game. That’s an order!

Forgot splinter cell
Stealth.
It’s there, you just can’t see it.
After Conviction, Splinter Cell has nothing to do with stealth anymores 😛
^ This.
I think the last decent Splinter Cell was Double-Agent. Since then, Splinter Cell doesn’t really feel like Splinter Cell anymore…
There’s only been one Splinter Cell since Double Agent so saying “since then” isn’t really saying much. From what I’ve seen of Blacklist, it looks like a return to form.
Even then, the Xbox Double Agent was somehow better than the 360 Double Agent, not sure how THAT one managed to work itself out… if you don’t believe me, try them both???
It’s only a little strange that we’ve been constantly bombarded with feature videos about the game, but we’re yet to get an actual release trailer.
One came out a few days ago.
I DONT WANT TO CLOSE MY EYES I DONT WANT TO FALL ASLEEP CAUSE I MISS YOU BABE AND I DONT WANT TO MISS A THING
Just a quick note, if you have a WiiU and are thinking if getting Wonderful 101 there is a demo available on the Nintendo EShop.
How big (as in, GB) is the demo? I don’t have much bandwidth at home…
It was just under 1gb when i downloaded, but I would get it if I were you. After 5 minutes with the demo, I quickly found out that Wonderful 101 was not so wonderful to me.
IIRC, should be almost 1GB.
The main problem with this statement is that nobody has a WiiU
OH BOY OH BOY I can’t wait to collect the Disney Infinity models. *inner child chanting*
NO ONE CARES ABOUT SAINTS ROW. WONDERFUL 101 SUCKAS! WOO!
*flips table*
Although I suppose this means that the console patch will be out by the time it gets here.
W101 out in PAL territories this week. Most of the time its awesome to have US model Ninty products but sometimes this happens. It looks like I’ll be crying myself to sleep tonight.
Well I might take the time to play my copy of SMTIV instead 😉
Fuck Saints Row. Splinter Cell is where it’s at! (also your post doesn’t mention it’s on WiiU also)
Hope no one pre-ordered XCOM on steam! GMG has it for 35 dollars after the 20% discount voucher or around 30-40 so it’s 40 dollars cheaper. Been like that for a long time so hopefully most people have caught on.
And it’s not released but Amnesia on pre-order, same pricing every where, you can pick it up on their official site through humble bundle which gives a DRM free version + Steam key from what I read but I bought it off Steam.
I’m tossing up now between getting it on Pc or xbox
I’m actually really looking forward to the bureau, I’m hopeful that ill still be able to play saints with some trickery. And I’ll certainly give splinter cell a shot. Don’t own a wii u, but 101 looks cool.
I dunno, Mark. Towns made it through Greenlight and was pretty crap. There are probably better examples (Oh! I know! Postal!), but that’s the one that comes spiking into my brain like pain from poking a scar that hasn’t healed properly.
After the recent crap that has happened to Saints Row IV & now having it delayed by up to a month (for PC gamers) has really made me lose interest in it, I was looking forward to buying it and having some fun before GTA V next month, but now, eh.. I may just wait until it’s cheap during a Steam sale with the season pass and enjoy it then.
X-Com Declassified is out this week?! that sure crept up on me. Interested to get it, but might wait for a few reviews first.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Also waiting to see reviews… and a price reduction/sale.. no way am I paying full price for this.
I got the alpha of 7 Days To Die now, so will probably ignore all future releases for a little while now anyway.
I want to be excited about The Bureau, but like you say… not enough hype. We have to remember this is the game that got pushed back so the Firaxis strategy game could lead the way in rebooting the franchise.
If it’s good, I’ll pick it up, but I don’t have time to buy possibly crappy games anymore. I barely have enough time to play the ones that are actually good.
I want Blacklist too, but it can wait.
