Watch Some Dude Pull His Hamstring For A Copy Of Madden

Down in Florida this week, EA Sports challenged people to run the NFL’s all-important 40-yard dash — traveled nearly 25 years ago by one Barry Sanders of Wichita, Kansas in 4.37 seconds — and offering copies of Madden NFL 25 to 100 winners. We hope the guy at 0:16 got one as a consolation prize.

Sanders, this year’s cover star, headlined the event, but I’m assuming he did not run in it. If he did I can spot about six people he probably did outrun even at age 45.

Still, Florida is a bigtime track state (the Gators are double-defending national champions (outdoor; triple defending champs indoor), with Florida State winning three straight titles from 2006 to 2008) so it’s no surprise some bona fide athletes turned out for this challenge.

Mr. Muscles at 0:16 looks more Al Oerter than Usain Bolt to me, and carrying all that beef may be why he tragically pulled up lame and had to be shot on the infield. (I am kidding.) Madden NFL 25 arrives on Tuesday.
