Usually, PAX runs three days. It’s enough time for tabletop gamers, cosplayers and geeks of every stripe to get their ya-yas out with each other about the stuff they love. But, this year, the Penny Arcade Expo is going an extra day. Who knows what horrible facets of human nature could shamble forth as the annual fan festival extends another 24 hours?
Leave it to Serious Game Critic — created by cartoonist Zac Gorman — chronicle the descent into savagery a four-day PAX might herald. And, it seems that when the nightmare begins, journalists will be in the worst possible position. Been nice knowing y’all.
Want to see more of Zac’s work? Head over to his personal blog and game-themed site Magical Game Time. If you’re feeling commercial, you can buy prints and shirts here. He’ll be back on Kotaku with a new comic same time next month!

Man, PAX Aus was a blast. I’d support the hell out of a 4 day event next year. Would give me a chance to get some gaming in, enter a tournament or two between the amazing panels.
Ditto but only if it was moved back a few months, the weather there was pretty terrible, cold and rainy 🙁
So, in other words, Melbourne weather?
Hah pretty much, 4 seasons in a day 😉
On the plus side, great usage from my new PAX Scarf 😀
Also surprisingly it wasn’t too cold. I was going around dressed as Mr GAW on Day 2 with a back bodysuit and didn’t feel too cold. Guess the constant walking around elevated that.
That or I had just lost the feeling in my skin.
