You know what I loved most about the first two Monkey Island games? The art style and colour palette were so damn sunny. Other games, like Far Cry, have tried to do the same, but they never felt like a summer’s breeze in quite the way Monkey Island (and particularly Monkey Island 2) did.
Assassin’s Creed IV is nailing it though. I watched this all the way through, and there are sharks in it, that’s how much I liked it.

yeah looks awesome – i’m still a bit concerned about the combat though, from the punch-up at the start it doesn’t look like they’ve entirely fixed the goons’, ‘why-don’t-we-fight-the-protagonist-one-on-one-while-the-rest-of-us-all-mill-about-in-a-circle-nearby’ AI

It’s a very nice looking game, and looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun.
I just hope they’ve fixed the things that pulled down AC3.

The only thing is it wouldn’t be very fun to keep having your attacks broken up all the time and feeling like a total idiot. But on the other hand Rocksteady seem to balance things like that spot on, if they could do something like that it would be sweet
Man I love tropical island games. Far Cry 3, Just Cause 2. Just happy being in the virtual sunshine 😛
I’ve paid so little attention to this game but I’d have to say this is the first video that has actually drawn me in to the world of AC: Black Flag.
Definitely looks good but will it be a case of too much (i.e. not keeping it simple)?
Who hasn’t wnted to be the captain of a crew of pirates, sailing around the high seas through storms and around islands? If this game returns to the quality of what the series has been able to produce, I’ll be like a kid in a candy store.
If ubi are only showing the ps4 ver and it lags quite alot and looks like a 3rd person far cry 3 graphicaly, Id have to see the other versions…
I still haven’t heard a damn thing about how the fleets work in this game.
Are they combat resources? A replacement of the economics convoys from 3? Something like the dispatchable assassins from the earlier games?..
Fleets are like your brotherhood in previous games, you send them out on missions so that they can generate money and goods for you
