Community Kudos

Oh boy oh boy, I am hyped about this weekend. Tonight I’m going to watch this guy talk about climbing and then, because my wife and son are away for the weekend I’m just going to play video games. Aw yeah. It’s been ages since I’ve been able to do that. Oh and hey! Welcome to Community Kudos.

But first a flashback to last week, and a nom that came just a little too late to be included in the previous Community Kudos.

Hey Mark, how’s your week been? Apologies for the late noms, work had been hectic/excuses excuses etc.
First of all, noms to yourself sir. Both for sticking to the juice diet, and putting up with our cruel jibes on Twitter!
Secondly, materialistic noms go to @virus__ for sending me the BioShock 2 vinyl soundtrack, for absolutely nothing! What a freaking champion.
Finally, altruistic noms for Hermesandthoth, DKzeitgeist, Shiggy, Cakesmith and countless others because raisins. Top blokes, the lot of them!
Take care, and I hope you’re feeling fine for the last two days of your diet!

Oh man, last week. Yeah, that was certainly something. I’m glad I’m off that looney tunes diet. Hopefully I’ll keep the weight off. I had a Gozleme today for the first time in three weeks. Glorious. Absolutely glorious.

First to nom this week, which I am now dubbing ‘food week’was Transientmind — that new guy everyone says is so cool.

It’s a little early in the week, but just like my last nomination, timing isn’t terribly important because this guy’s consistent.

Noms for @freezespreston for being just such a reliable, solid performer. I’m talking specifically about the dependability with which you can count on a Freeze piss-take or quirky/appropriate/inappropriate gag which consistently provides a good chuckle or at least a smirk. I don’t think there’s a single page on TAY you could go to that doesn’t have a Freeze comment with a green number under it. The community’s better for having him in it.

Also, continued, ongoing nomination for @dc because nothing has changed since my first nom for him and I don’t think he got enough mentions the last couple weeks.

Nomming DC is a thing now I’ve decided. He gets so many noms its ridiculous. It’s just getting out of hand. He’s like the Hulk Hogan of this place. DC — you should totally turn hell and become Hollywood Hulk Hogan, like a badass dickhead version of yourself.

Nah, please don’t do that. Please just continue being awesome.

And funnily enough, we had some noms from Mr DC himself.

I nominate @greenius, cause it ain’t easy bein’ green! (Also he’s pretty cool, but mostly the green thing.)

Why isn’t it easy being green. Being green sounds awesome.

I’d like to nom transientmind because he posts some pretty awesome comments and he’s also been a Helpius lately!

But then again, I’d like to anti-nom transientmind because he doesn’t Xenoblade.

Like who doesn’t Xenoblade? amirite?

So this email kind of cancels itself out and uh… yeah…

Yeah great job man, great job.

Who the hell invented anti-noms anyway? Pretty sure it was that rapscallion ShiggyNinty.

And Shiggy was mentioned in this flurry of noms from Coldcamv. Man, what a segue…

Another week, another set of nominations where to begin where to begin..

Firstly I want to nom @negativezero for giving me a free copy of FFXIV:ARR (feel like your meant to yell that last bit) which I’m having quite abit of fun with and I haven’t even made my character!(I spent 10 minutes just listening to the opening music)

Secondary noms go to all the guys at Potaku (@doc_what @shiggyninty and @alexpants) as well as all the guys involved in last nights debate @tofu @transientmind and @mythamphetamine

Finally I’ll nom @scree for still trying to blaze her way through Rayman even with an injured wrist.

Alrighty then, that’s it for this week! This week’s winner is… Transientmind, despite his anti-nom! Congratulations and have a great weekend everyone!
