Pokemon Brings Back ‘Gotta Catch ‘Em All’ With A Bad Music Video

Pokemon Brings Back ‘Gotta Catch ‘Em All’ With A Bad Music Video

“Gotta Catch ‘Em All” never truly left our hearts, but it did leave official Pokemon channels for a bit. The Pokemon Company is bringing it back, and they’ve recruited renowned electronica artist Pogo to produce this bit of nonsense.

That’s right kids, this was the big tease. The song is called “Catchatronic”, and it’s a small step above the sort of homemade dance mixes Pokemon fans have been making for ages on their own. Certainly not on par with some of the amazing things Nick “Pogo” Bertke has done with other entertainment properties over the years. Just look at what he did with Alice in Wonderland:

That’s magic, right there. He captures tiny sounds and weaves them together into something beautiful.

“Catchatronic” feels less like an inspiration and more like an assignment.

Still, good to see you back, “Gotta Catch ‘Em All”. Looking forward to manically chanting you at the screen next month while paying Pokemon X and/or Y.
