I actually never thought of the contradiction presented in the PW comic. Wow… Could have really saved some time there…
Whats wrong with me… I just dont get most of these… at all…
I know I am supposed to, but – I dont
You’re not alone
Yeah, I agree…. I consider myself a pretty hardcore gamer, with broad tastes.
Yet, how damn “in” are these jokes being made by these comics? I rarely get the references in any of them.
The N64 controller one I chuckled at, but I’ve never actually seen anyone play it like that.
My cousin used to do it. It’s definitely a real thing.
Nerd Rage is a joke about a weapon in Team Fortress 2.
Penny Arcade isn’t referencing any game. It’s an original story they’re running based on a card game one of them made.
Awkward Zombie is a Bioshock joke. The original one, even, and not Infinite, so yeah, it’s a bit dated.
Blow The Cartridge is, of course, just a joke about non gamers holding controllers wrong.
Manly Guys Doing Manly Things is about Ace Attorney.
Brawl In The Family is about Smash Bros.
Nerf NOW!! is about the MMO Tera and the stripperific armour for female characters in the game.
Corpse Run is about… I’m not actually sure. Fire Emblem Awakening maybe?
Nerd rage wasn’t funny. PA I don’t get it. Corpse Run i don’t get it.
Shout out to Brawl, though. That shit was awesome!
They really shouldn’t run the PA storyline comics, they never stand for themselves.
