Whoa, talk about your all time HaiTaku last minute sweeps. I was all but ready to call yesterday’s haiku unguessable but then, at 4.38am this morning Glock jumped in and guessed it, breaking down all the clues in an incredible fashion. Well done Glock. I am impressed.
So yeah, it was Midnight Resistance. One of my all time favourite video games.

I’m not sure about the mushrooms, but you died if you stood on the spores.
Plenty of mazes (underwater, the plant roots) and that thing that grabs you in the swamp.
The glass cutter is used to escape the glass dome when you are miniaturised.
When you first crash down on Labion, if you head off to the right, there are a group of giant mushrooms which will eat you if you get too close to them.

I own the entire Space Quest series on GOG. Tempted to dig them out again!
Ah, yes, when I guessed I assumed it meant the spore plant (ah, the saving and reloading to get that spore). I had no memory of those mushrooms.
EDIT: Actually I think the plant I was thinking of was for the berries, not the spore. Been a long time…
