World’s Largest Star Wars Collection Includes A Working Cantina

Rancho Obi-Wan, a Star Wars museum in Northern California, holds 300,000 unique Star Wars-related pieces, earning it the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Collection of Star Wars Memorabilia.”

Steve Sansweet, former LucasFilm employee and curator of Rancho Obi-Wan, says that when Star Wars came out, he was “hooked from the very beginning.” His passion has since turned into a life’s work of collecting and displaying Star Wars artifacts almost without discretion.

It makes me wonder just how much of this massive catalogue comes directly from Star Wars canon, and how many items are non-canon, or the stuff of fanfiction. Obi Wan Kermit, for example. Stormtrooper Darth Maul helmets for another. Goodness knows Sansweet’s dancing isn’t in George Lucas’ approved annals of Star Wars lore.

Then there’s this… face? What Timothy Zhan book did this thing crawl out of? I mean, it kind of looks like Ki-Adi-Mundi, and it kind of looks like the murderer from Scream, but I still can’t place it.

Just in the video, I counted at least fifteen non-canon items. What am I missing? Any gems in there (besides samurai stormtrooper)?
