Have you ever been on your way to a show, been attacked by spooky ghosts and compensated by chugging energy drinks and beer? Sure, we all have.
The video above for Ghostbuster by Italian duo Blatta & Inesha is more or less that. It’s like watching Mario and/or Luigi’s weirdo grandkids that are way too into electronic music try to navigate through the world of Ghosts and Goblins to get to their strange gig.
Also, never take a selfie at a spooky show. Classic rookie mistake.
Update: After publishing this post, it’s been pointed out the similarity between the animation cycles in pixel-artist Johan Vinet’s twitter avatar. Vinet had no involvement in the video, and a frame-by-frame comparison of the run cycles show that it appears they only made minor modifications to the sprite.
Here is a quick and dirty comparison GIF of the two I threw together. It appears that only the head and outfit colouring have changed:
