Look here, you nasty pervert horndogs. Ken Levine has seen all that porn people are making out of Elizabeth, from BioShock Infinite, and he wants you to know That’s Not Cool. “It’s like coming across a picture of your daughter,” he says.
The BioShock creator was in a Reddit AMA yesterday, responding to a fan joking that, with the upcoming Burial at Sea extension looking like film noir in tone, he expected future installments to “follow various genres such as Spaghetti Western and Romantic Comedy.”
“It’s going to be porn,” Levine cracked. “Lots and lots of porn.”
“Seriously, whoever is doing the Elizabeth porn on deviantart, please stop it,” Levine said. “You’re killing me.
“I die a little inside with every page view.”
Reddit, being Reddit, was extremely receptive to this idea, calling out all of the other instances of BioShock porn that should not be gazed upon or consumed. Such as this guy, who pointed out there is an actual goddamn BioShock Porn subreddit everyone should not read. Or this guy, making a not-so-subtle pitch for his “erotic fanfiction of Booker and Elizabeth.” And
“Ken, Dont go to Tumblr, Deviantart, and also you know the SFM Models for Elizabeth? yeah, they finally made a naked version of elizabeth. and also CGI Porn Gifs,” replied this dude. And some other helpful Redditors tossed in links to specific images that Ken doesn’t want people to make or see, I guess as a warning. Thanks, guys, I’m sure he appreciates all that.

You know, the French refer to orgasms as “la petit mort”.
Just sayin’.
best comment ever!
I wanna sound cultured and worldly by saying I knew that, but I learnt it from Bride of Chucky.
Fail :/
I’m pretty sure I learned it from my dad, who only knows enough phrases in other languages to be slightly obscene across most of western Europe.
That’s an item on my bucket list. Being slightly obscene across most of Western Europe, that is.
I only need how to know, “One beer please” in every language….I will get around to it eventually, but I still need more practice at the local
A beer/two beers, please = Eén bier/twee bier, alstublieft. (ane beer/tway beer AHLS-tuu-bleeft)
There’s Dutch covered for you.
ca fait mal
sorry i dont understand the reference/relevance, someone explain?
Ken said he “dies a little” when he sees porn of his creation.
La petit mort = the little death.
lol nice double entendre
thanks for explaining
Rule 34. Just saying
I was linked to an entire sub reddit of Elizebeth porn the other week, I just don’t understand what people are thinking to create such stuff…
Sex, boobs, etc. What’s going on in most male minds?
It was more so they were animated gifs from what looked to be set in Columbia from the game…
its like the guys never been on the internet……..now that he has asked the internet to stop elizabeth bioshock porn will quadruple in size every day until it shuts down the internet and total societal collapse insures…………our grand kids will look back and call this time the before elizabeth bioshock porn times……..or BEBPT if you’re writing it as a date.
Yep. I haven’t looked but I’d feel safe betting that there was a flash flood of Ken Levine having sex with Elizabeth porn about twenty seconds after he made that comment.
I’m sure it pales in comparison to quality Disney Princess porn.
Or My Little Pony…
If you follow that deviantART link, there’s a pony version of Elizabeth, so I’m sure that somewhere there’s a sexed up pony version of her.
Nope, not following it. My mind was already soiled of gifs from what looked to be the in game engine of Elizabeth porn. Ugh.
There’s actually no porn on the first page.
Still 😛
Well, y’know. Sometimes you have to really go looking for things to be horrified and indignant about. 🙂
(Edit: And do research. Y’know. Really time-consuming, in-depth research. To, uh… be mad about. Yup.)
Oh dear God no…
It’s like no-one ever explained the rules of the Internet to poor ol’ Ken.
Especially Rule #34.
If exists, there is porn of it. One of the rules that keeps the internet going.
Rule 35 has a bit to do with it as well :S
There is no stopping rule 34
NO STOPPING RULE 34 *period*
Only she’s not your daughter, and shes a fictional character. Get a grip. This is why I’ve never been able to take Ken Levine seriously, he’s a self absorbed egotist who is out of touch with reality.
I think you need to get a grip.
Everybody needs to stop getting a grip, that’s why Ken is upset.
Touche
If it exists, there is porn for it.
Rule #34 of the Internet.
Rule #35: If it doesn’t exist or porn hasn’t been made for it yet, someone will make it.
If you didn’t want porn of her why did you make her so damn hot in the first place? And I hope you didn’t mind when your artists lovingly designed and redesigned her cleavage…
Someone should let Kevin know that demanding the internet to not do something only exasperates it.
exacerbates*
I’d say by the end of the week, Mr Levine is going to be exasperated
By the juggernaut of Elizabeth porn, he exacerbated
Made by fanboys to be titillated
Who found no relief till they masterb… Oh hi Ken !
To be fair, taboos have always been a big sexual turn-on.
For example: we think of abuse of power as one of the worst crimes someone can commit. Teachers taking advantage of students, cops accepting sexual favours in exchange for leniency, doctors or nurses as caregivers in positions of responsibility…
And yet, role-playing fantasy has made open, widely-accepted use of these abuses of power for at least as long as we’ve had pornographic media. (And honestly, probably longer.)
Same goes for folks scoffing at fictional depictions.
Photographic porn is relatively new. Early on there were paintings and woodcuts on the printing press. You might know Hokusai from his prolific and evocative ‘The Great Wave’ print (look it up, I’ll be surprised if you don’t instantly recognize it even if you don’t know the name), but you know how he made his bread and butter? Porn. And not just any porn, there was some freaky-ass octopi/fisherman’s wife tentacle porn up ins. Perversion ain’t new, yo. Nor is it Eastern. The same sort of painted style that you might be familiar depicting Rosie the Riveter was also used to illustrate pornographic materials of the day.
And honestly, if the depiction is realistic enough to fool the peen, there’s precious little difference between perving on a toon and perving on a pornstar who for all intents and purposes is just as fictional as far as you and your tactile senses are concerned.
So yeah, no duh there’s ‘popular fictional character’ porn.
While the fanfic sexualisation type stuff isn’t for me, I have no troubles seeing how it would be for someone else. Nor do I find it’s existence surprising or offensive.
It would’ve helped that we were inundated of pictures of Elizabeth in her corset and many forms of cosplay prior to and after the game’s release. While she was presented pretty tactfully by regular video game standards, she’s a pretty young girl with dark hair and big blue eyes in a corset. It’s not exactly rocket surgery how people got there.
The internet is really, really good….. FOR PORN
That’s a poor choice of words.
Hahahahaha. That made me choke on my food.
Phrasing!
Boom!
You win all the Elizabeth Porn you can eat
I know what im doing this weekend.
AMIRIGHTGUYS!?
*sobs uncontrollably*
Just don’t look suss when you buy a couple of tubes of lube from the store.
I cant buy peanut butter without looking suss.
I thought that read as, “I CAN buy peanut butter without looking suss,” like you were intending to use peanut-butter as lube.
Thats what I call a sticky situation huehuehuehue.
Crunchy for her pleasure?
HA!
..and we continue spiral further down to that place on the interwebs..

Btw, read the user comments – hilarious.
Its a fictional character that he has poured his heart and soul into creating. For any creator, be it a writer, artist, musician, game designer etc. to see his/her work perverted does hurt to an extent.
His feelings for his creation simply implies he holds Elizabeth and Bioshock as something more than just another commercial entity.
EDIT: reply fail.
Look, while I understand what the guy’s problem is, he really has no one but himself to blame (well.. him and the character designers). This is the same sort of story that occurred before Infinite was released and Elizabeth’s final character design was revealed. She looks like a Disney princess wearing a push-up bra. Naturally, everyone starts talking about her breasts and Ken Levine starts bitching about how people are sexualising her. It’s like…. WELL WHAT THE F*CK DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN? If you make her face look like a fantasy image of a perfect woman and then add to that by drawing attention to her cleavage, you pretty much have to assume that people will sexualise her. And let’s face it – this is the internet. Even if her design was a bit more modest and realistic, people would STLL have made porn of her. It’s just what the internet does!
1.it didn’t matter how sexualised Elizabeth’s character was or wasn’t….porn was going to be made…of there’s MLP porn there’s Elizabeth porn
2. Her final design was pretty tasteful and she spent a good portion of the game in that state, the final dress wasn’t even hers
3. I may be reading too much into it but I’m getting “she dressed slutty so she was asking for it” vibes
Your point 1. is the reason it’s not mind-safe to look up ‘Garrus Vakarian’ on Google Image search without the safesearch filter on.
Indeed. That fandom sure does love a bit of Garrus. As a bro… or something more 😛
His point is that Elizabeths cleavage is entirely on show. He didn’t say that was in a particularly slutty manner, but they’re on display none the less. She was wearing a very nice, charming dress that just happened to expose her cleavage and the entire outline of her bosom. Tasteful. Sexualised.
In reality it is no different to Lollipop Chainsaw’s Juliet showing her booty every 2 minutes. Less slutty, sure, but sexualised none the less.
Men (and women) are flesh and blood. We have natural desires. If body parts are on display, we’re going to look. It does not make us perversed.
If you don’t want your characters to be looked at in a sexual manner, don’t sexualise them – and displays of cleavage is a sexualised image.
If they wanted us to interpret Juliet in a more demure manner they should have dressed her accordingly.
Although I understand the meaning and intent of your comment, it shouldn’t be encouraged – as that’s not what he was intimating, at all, and to suggest that he was is really twisting his words – which is unfair and counter productive.
We all know what we have to do now.
Ken Levine rule 34.
I’m glad someone did some in-depth research. This article is full of helpful links that I’m going to further research in regards to this outrage.
I’ll just save them all .. for research purposes … yes…
I think he has worse to worry about than the Deviantart community, with other websites and Shadman (the youtuber) were miles ahead to begin with. At least he learnt his lesson, The internet takes no prisoners
tl;dr: Hey guys, Kevin Levine is telling us he hates the fact that people are making porn pics and erotic fan fictions about Elizabeth so we’re going to provide you with links to each and every instance of it.
I like how he invents a character who is, lets face it, a low down dirty whore and a bitch, and then blames the INTERNET for making porn from her. Laughable.
I mean, he could just not look up the pronz….
That’s actually a very good point. I mean… it’s not like Elizabeth porn just pops up in front of you, you really have to look at least a little bit for it.
I was looking for a lot of Bioshock Infinite art, pictures of Booker and Elizabeth specifically as a reference point for cosplay, and I didn’t see any porn at all. So if I was looking at pictures/art that intently, just how much art is Ken looking at for the porn stuff to innocently pop up for him?
