How good is Doodle Jump? Seriously. Doodle Jump was, literally, the video game that sold me on an iPhone. I never thought I’d live to see the day it would appear on other platform. I actually thought I would die before that happened.
But now Doodle Jump is set for release on both the 2DS and the 3DS later this year, after its release on Xbox LIVE this June. I suppose it makes sense — it’ll get the chance to hit a whole new younger demographic with the Nintendo handhelds, kids that may not be old enough to be trusted with an iPhone. Doodle Jump Adventure adds a whole new ‘level’ element to the game with boos battles and challenges and whatnot — that actually appeals to me as a hardened Doodle Jumper with hours of experience. I wouldn’t mind messing about with something a bit different like that.
I’m keen, but I wonder how it will work? With a controller? With the gyroscopes on the 3DS? Either way, I’m looking forward to having a go.

The DS and 2DS are two different devices, and the 2DS is part of the 3DS line of devices (which includes the 3DS and 3DS XL) not the DS line of devices (which includes the DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL). Mark, your headline appears to be mistaken.
It’s not coming to the DS/
I saw the 3ds and ds version of doodle jump at walmart, so yes the ds version is also available for the people who dont have the 3ds yet or they just dont want to upgrade to the 3ds family. Which i think is a fair share with ds, 2ds and 3ds users.
Welp. I was at EB last week and they had a copy of Plants vs Zombies. Physical PS3 copy. First version. Pre-Owned. 38 bucks. I don’t know who buys this garbage but clearly there’s some sort of market out there for super late ports of mobile games.
