He Made Assassin's Creed's Pistol, But Didn't Shoot Anyone With It

And you thought people could only be bothered making replicas of Assassin's Creed's pointy weapons.

Landstalker Props made this terrific replica matchlock pistol for Ubisoft, part of a launch event for Assassin's Creed IV. So no, sadly, you cannot buy it.

You can look at pictures, though. So hey, not a total loss.

There's a ton of detail in this thing. The hammer cocks back and the firing mechanism will bring it back down if you pull the trigger (though it won't actually fire anything...even if you know how load one of these babies). It's got a ram rod (the thing you ram the powder in with). Each of the balls has been cast out of metal, and even the powder looks "real" since the bag is full of sand.

    *flintlock

    Just sayin'.

... Not like it says it on every single one of the pictures though

I'm curious - Australia has fairly strict laws about replica firearms etc. Would a flintlock pistol get through?

ACIII burned me on the franchise, but damn if I'm not getting excited again by this and the post earlier in the week of the forged Assassin's blade. Well played, Ubi.
