Internet Don't Need No Warcraft Movie Trailers, Internet Makes Its Own

Using only the sparse information provided so far by Blizzard and Legendary Pictures and a whole slew of fantasy movie clips, YouTube editor BloodRunsClear delivers his vision of what 2015's World of Warcraft movie might look like.

Not a bad fake trailer, given the source material, which ranges from a commercial for a medieval festival to big-budget movies like The Hobbit and Thor: The Dark World. He's even got some Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne cutscenes in there for good measure.

As a long-time player of the MMO, it's all a bit too dark and gritty for my tastes. I was drawn to the game by its bright colours and cartoon aesthetics. I'd love to see something more along the lines of classic '80s fantasy, with bright hues and giant shoulder pads. I would not be averse to Muppets. I might pay extra for them.

The unfortunate reality is that in order for a fantasy movie to be considered "epic" it needs to follow in the dark and gritty style that LotR used in their films. The popular styles will always be imitated.

World of Muppetcraft however... I'm down for that. I could see it being up there with Muppet Treasure Island in terms of well done puppet/human mix.

I think the only real likelihood of that being a possibility would have been if Guillermo Del Toro had directed. Now there's a man with some respect for in camera effects, puppetry and animatronics. He's probably about the only person I'd be reasonably confident in making a watchable Warcraft movie too.

Eh, pretty below average effort. Just a bunch of unrelated clips of cool fantasy shit, most of them transitioning way too quickly, with a voice over.

I would much rather a new Warcraft RTS game than a Warcraft movie :(
