Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Launches Worldwide On Android

The ridiculously free-to-play sequel to Popcap's plant defence game finally breaks the bonds of Apple exclusivity, escaping the walled garden into Android territory. It's available right now for free on Google Play.

Not available in my country. Feeling a little butthurt right now :(

      It is:
Been available for a while now, Fahey's just a bit behind

Shame...apparently it's incompatible with the Galaxy S3 and S4 , according to the Play page. "This app is incompatible with all your devices".

"This app is incompatible with all of your devices." Seriously? I'm using a Galaxy S3 which is a pretty common device which I would have thought the developers would want to support.

Seems to be a common theme.

Still at least it's out on Android - Don't expect to see it on WP for at least another 6 months.

It definitely works on the Galaxy S3. I've played many hours of it on mine!

"This app is incompatible with all of your devices." .... HTC Sensation....
    really ?

Log into google play on your phone. worked for me.

"This app is incompatible with all of your devices." - Which is why it was a timed exclusive for iOS. The various devices and hardware configs android supports take time to develop for and the massive version fragmentation on android means that many devices are not running a new enough OS to have some of the API's the app uses

Nope, Google play services are pushed out through Google play now.

Does it matter how it is distributed when as of October 3 2013 over 28% of android users are still on the Gingerbread release (Versions 2.3.3 - 2.3.7)?

Meanwhile over 61% of iOS users are on iOS 7 while only 1.5% are on Android 4.3! That's only 1.5% that have access to the newest implemented API's for apps to use on the public release!

It does. Why are you still taking about version numbers?

Why are you still talking about something COMPLETELY UNRELATED to my original comment?

Many new API updates are pushed out automatically from the Play Store. Unless you are on a super old device that probably can't run the game anyway you will be getting these updates. The big story at Google I/O was about how Google was updating Android without updating it (ie, no new version number).

And for some strange tax reasons, there are two version of PVZ2 on the store. One is compatible with all my devices, the other not. Some people probably found their way to the wrong one.

Hmm weird - another senno, only they're seno....

I downloaded this at least three weeks ago on google play... either way amazing game, keen for the next episode to be released.
