Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Definitive Version Lands In Late October

Per publisher Square Enix, the director's cut version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will hit Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 22. And, in case you need a reminder as to what makes this director's cut a director's cut, Square Enix was kind enough to provide a nice little features trailer.

Note that the second screen features of the Wii U version will also work on the Xbox 360 version (via Smartglass) and on the PS3 version (via a PS Vita). Sadly, they won't work on PC.

so pc has had multiple monitors for forever, and they can't make use of them, genius.

99.9% of those "Director's Cut features" are for the Wii U...

Why are they bothering with a PC/PS3/360 release again?

      From the article:
Note that the second screen features of the Wii U version will also work on the Xbox 360 version (via Smartglass) and on the PS3 version (via a PS Vita). Sadly, they won’t work on PC.

Well there you go. I didn't read the article, just watched the trailer... however, I've never heard of Smartglass, and to me the Vita is a joke.

Still almost worthless features in the grand scheme of things.
        So... :)

Smartglass is an app for phones and tablets that lets them cooperate with an Xbox to act as a second screen. So if you own an Xbox and an Android/iOS/Windows phone/tablet, then you've already got all the required hardware.

            Interesting concept, I suppose.

Still not really a feature I'd bother with.
Sounds more like a pain in the ass than beneficial to your overall game experience. :/

The only improvement Id like for the pc version are better boss fights...

I heard they were changing the game so that you don't have to fight the bosses and can avoid them or take them own in a non-lethal way. So really, it's the Deus Ex game we should have had a couple of years ago?

There wasn't any way bar bugging the game to not kill Anna or Gunther in the first game either. Either fight or kill switch.

I'm so down for this. I loved the original Deus Ex and I liked most things about Hum Rev except for the borked melee system. Which unfortunately doesn't sound like it's been changed but still, I'm more than happy to pay $40 to buy the same game with enhancements. I liked it that much.

I'm... a little hesitant. I've been meaning to play through HR, and would love to play with the improved boss fights, but am quite miffed that this isn't just a patch.

It seems a bit much to ask to pay for the game all over again for what is essentially fixing what is broken, and some shovelled in Wii U features that I won't be using on Xbox.

Square are just pissing me off far too much these days...!

Same game with slight updates most of which are not used on my pc... Shut up and take my money. But in all seriousness I love this game and will buy this new version.

I love the game and all but no I won't buy it again.
