The Duncan Jones-directed, possibly Colin Farrell-starringWarcraft movie will be out on December 18 of 2015, according to a tweet from Blizzard.
The Legendary Pictures film has been in development for a good long while now, though with Moon and Source/Code director Duncan Jones attached, it seems to have finally found traction, and now, a release date. Legendary had previously been partnered with Warner Bros. to release the film, but according to Blizzard’s tweet, they’re now working with Universal. Our friends at io9 saw a teaser for the movie and were awfully excited about it; I’d wager that that teaser will make its way onto the internet before too long.
I’m still a bit sceptical about how one makes Warcraft into a movie, but if anyone can do something interesting with it, it’s Duncan Jones.

I liked it better when he was Zowie Bowie.
I hope its better than porncraft 🙂
Will the movie suck like all the others? Probably.
they made movie out of Doom (was crap but still) this one got A LOT of potential
They’ve made a lot of movies out of video games, and they’ve all sucked. That’s kind of the point 🙂
Warcraft is special as a video game, but as a universe being adapted to other media it’s super generic.
the Hitman movie… *shudders*
As far as movie tie ins with games go, I think about the only one I liked was Silent Hill (which while not great, wasn’t bad either)
I can’t wait for Warcraft: The Movie: The Game!
