Japanese model builder むむむノ53 has ripped a veritech fighter straight out of Macross/Robotech and brought it into the real world, cel-shading and all.
While he didn’t built the entire model, the paintjob he’s pulled off to mimic the animated look of the show (and the additions like dramatic hands and a Lynn Minmay) is amazing.
There’s a disassembled shot below that shows how he did it.

That paint work is so amazing it’s hard to believe it’s a physical model and not a drawing.
