Get ready for E3 in November: tonight on Spike TV, Sony plans to announce a whole lot of PS4 news in honour of the console’s launch tomorrow.
The show, “PS4 All Access: Greatness Awaits”, starts at 11pm Eastern (3pm AEDT). Sony is teasing “major PS4 game announcements” and other big news.
Via Spike’s Geoff Keighley, here’s some of what we can expect tonight:
- Hideo Kojima appearance with announcement and new trailer for MGS5.
- Pete Parsons from Bungie live with an announcement and new trailer for Destiny.
- Naughty Dog debuts the teaser trailer for The Last of Us story DLC.
- A first look at Sony’s top-secret R&D lab and news on new technology they are working on for PS4.
- Jack Tretton and Andy House will be appearing live.
- Shu Yoshida and Adam Boyes will be appearing as well to talk about worldwide studios and third party developers.

I think you’ve got your time wrong there. 11pm EST is 2pm AEST (3pm AEDT)
Fingers crossed that hardware reveal is the rumored VR headset and not a “Vita TV coming to the West” type of letdown.
Given that those patents made the Internet rounds this week, if it’s actually in development they’ll probably want to control the message and announce it as soon as possible. I certainly hope so.
Vita TV does look pretty cool, especially if you have more than one tv in your house.
Oh totally, I think it’s a great device with a lot of potential. I just really want that VR headset to be a reality 🙂
I’d expect a more solid range of release dates for games past the launch titles. Is it too much to expect some new titles being announced as well?

Me too. I’d love for my PS4 to take that on -preferably with the same box – so I don’t have to keep my PS3 plugged in 24 / 7.
Maybe one of the announcements might be that if you want to buy one off the shelf at launch you can, yeah not likely.
Probably either PS4 Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection, exclusive Ground Zeroes PS4 content or Zone of Enders for PS4. Here’s hoping the Worldwide announcement is Medievil 3! 😛
