World of Warcraft‘s familiar races are changing and the new versions look pretty good. These new models for the Gnome, Orc and Dwarf debuted at the “World of Warcraft: What’s Next Panel” at BlizzCon.

I jumped out of my chair during the opening ceremony, I’ve wanted this for so long! Back to WoW I guess.
Really like a lot of the wow stuff they announced
Still doesn’t look as good as EverQuest 2 did when it released a short time before WoW.
I think that’s been one of the biggest turnoffs for me whenever I tried to get into WoW.
But levelling a character to 75, I still didn’t enjoy the game so I guess it’s more than that.

I haven’t played WOW since a shot time after burning crusade was launched so i am just wondering.
Since they have updated the character models, have they gone through and done the environments as well?
The third expansion, Cataclysm, essentially blew up old Azeroth and required them to rebuild all of the 1-60 content (and expand upon it to make room for the 80-85 content). They did a pretty good job of not just upping the quality but making the content better, although some people hate the phasing tech they used to make it all more story driven (it works pretty well, but they didn’t really think it through with farming so it annoyed a lot of people having nodes just vanish when they reached them). You can fly there now too.
It’s just a shame they didn’t do Burning Crusade and Lich King with it. You step through the Dark Portal and you really notice you’re playing old content.
It was good they re-did all the old world, but then they made it all about Death wing.
We’ll probably still play the expansion. I mean why not we did with Pandas. Maxed out characters levels then unsubscribed not worth grinding for gear these days.
I’m glad to see something so long overdue finally being done but still not bringing me back to WoW. Hell I’ve been cold turkey from WoW for almost 2 years now,

They look better, but I expected more since this is all fresh. Doesn’t seem up to par compared to Aion and Final Fantasy 14.
