After spending most of the year as a Windows Phone 8 exclusive, the mobile version of 17-Bit’s wonderful little turn-based strategy game finally makes the jump to iOS, and damn if it doesn’t look gorgeous there.
Inspired by the Advance Wars series, Skulls of the Shogun‘s gorgeous 2D-meets-3D style has been charming the hell out of folks on Windows Phone 8, Xbox Live Arcade and PC since its January release. Originally a Windows 8 exclusive on PC, the “Bone-A-Fide Edition” was released in July on Steam, getting rid of the Windows 8 requirement and adding bonus missions.
And that’s what iOS gamers are getting today, complete with cross-platform play between iPad, iPhone and PC. It’s only $5.49 too. Everyone with an iPad should have this game.

Oh gods, that Sakura character. Yup, let’s have the female character wear a kimono- an outfit designed to HIDE the curves of a woman as much as physically possible (no, really, women wear boob-binders under them)- and have her big’uns hanging out instead. Stay classy.
Sakura, guardian spirit of the land of Eternal Bosoms.
