I really liked yesterday’s HaiTaku. Mainly because it was super vague, but also quite specific. Great job Zar, and well done to 35 who was first to guess correctly!
Today’s haiku comes from Arky…
Down the hole we go
For mutant amphibians
And not Viv Richards
Good luck everyone!
This is HaiTaku. We write Haikus about old video games and leave it you to guess what game we’re talking about. If you want to submit a Haiku feel free. Send it here!

It won’t be, but, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
It kind of sounds like BattleToads, but I’m not sure what that has to do with a cricket player…
Blaster Master
You chase your frog down a hole for vaguely given reasons.
Viv Richards is a cricketer nick-named “The Master Blaster” 😉
BINGO!!!
Nice. I was thinking Chameleon Twist, as a chameleon you follow a rabbit down the hole, and ‘Not Viv Richards’ I took to mean it couldn’t be Blaster Master 🙂
But I reckon you nailed it.
I was thinking tmnt and the viv Richards thing was somehow a reference to Casey Jones’ line about crumpets and cricket… But let’s go with your thing.
My first thought exactly “You gotta know what a crumpet is, to understand cricket!” But it was actually Raphael who said it to Casey Jones as he was using a cricket bat!
I stand corrected. Must be time to watch it again, and try to convince myself that it was the only tmnt movie ever made.
Yup.
This one was actually inspired by yesterday’s, because I thought yesterday’s was Blaster Master until remembering that in that game you weren’t chasing an unnamed princess you were chasing your mutant pet frog.
Ah, Nintendo of the 80s.
For or Four?
Or ‘Fore?
Chameleon Twist on N64 (or Chameleon Twist 2)
