I am stressed. I have too many things to play. Xbox One, now the Kotaku PS4 unit has arrived. I have A Link Between Worlds, Tearaway. Argh! Too much choice!
This is not intended to be some sort of humble brag. I am genuinely stressed. This is one of those moments when I have to choose wisely when it comes to how much time I’ll spend with each game/console. Most likely the PlayStation 4 will take priority in the lead up to our Australian hands on with the device early next week. Most likely I’ll play the games I’ve been holding off on for next gen: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag for example, or FIFA 14. This is one of those moments when playing games for fun and playing games as a job gets all caught up in the cross stream. First world problems I guess, in the best possible sense.
Too much choice. And I’ll have to hold off on games I’ve been super excited about, like A Link Between Worlds in particular. I’ll probably have to stop playing the games I’m genuinely enjoying and want to continue with — Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker.
But still, it’s one of those good problems! A PlayStation 4 and an Xbox One. In my house. A hunk of good games to play. This is what we’ve been waiting for. I’m genuinely excited!

I pre-ordered it from EB Games, but as it comes out on a weekend and Australia Post doesn’t deliver on weekends it seems I’ll get it on Tuesday.
What a bummer.
Otherwise, I’ll just play some ACIV:Black Flag.
I believe they’re doing weekend deliveries in the leadup to Christmas, so keep an eye out for their courier.

My original comment has been awaiting moderation for half a day because it has links in it, but you should probably know so you don’t miss it that Australia Post does deliver on weekends during the 48 day lead-up to Christmas. You can read about it on their website.
Granted that still means EB have to put it in the mail on a weekend which they might not do.

I’m gonna live in the past: Wind Waker (just saved at the final battle) and GTA V (it’s soooo last gen). I’ll probably head down to Big W to grab Zelda as well.
Cod ghosts mp (yeah yeah, i know, i won a copy) and some far cry 3.

Not sure I’ll be able to play it yet though, unless the postal gods smile upon me and grant me my parcel.
Cheat code. If it’s on a courier service look at the tracking information, if it says it’s arrived at the depot but doesn’t say it’s on board for delivery, ring up, get them to hold it at the depot and go pick it up. All you need is ID with your address on it. It’s more hassle for everyone than it’s worth most of the time, but if they don’t do weekend deliveries it’ll get you your package Friday rather than Monday.

Owch. Regular mail is running on weekends in the lead-up to Christmas, hopefully that softens the blow a little.

Sign up for a free parcel locker from auspost. Choose a location near you. I use it for amazon and other international deliveries too. Only thing they dont accept is Toll, Fedex, etc…
Ive been using it for a year now and love picking up my parcels after work or the weekend. (Accessible 24×7)

I’m playing WWE 2K14 on Saturday so I can finish the 30 Year of Wrestlemania livestream I’ve been doing (via wildtalkradio.com) for the last few weeks. Other then that I’m going to take time off from gaming till I get my PS4 next Friday
A Link Between Worlds of course. I just finished a 100% run of ALttP as a refresher, so I’m all prepped and ready. If some bright spark breaks street date today I will be sleeping very little this evening….

I ordered a Zelda 3DS XL but EB Games over-sold pre-orders and cancelled mine. So a sad weekend of hate towards EB Games awaits me. Also Wind Waker.
Same. I don’t have a PS4 yet but I held off on Pokemon Origins until the English dub so I’m waiting for the final episode of that and Doctor Who’s 50th as well. I’ve got some stuff on tonight. I just made a ton of money at work which unfortunately means I have to actually do stuff.
Today has that twilight zone feel like by the end of the day I’ll be a broken man screaming regrets about getting everything I asked for.
Oh yeah. I also discovered Wednesday that the Pokemon TCG has an official online client that can be played for free. Turns out I love that game.
It doesn’t help that I went to bed early last night, woke up two hours later fully refreshed and didn’t get back to sleep until 6AM (where I woke up two more times in three hours and eventually decided to just stay up). I’m pretty scattered so I can’t figure out what I’ve got and what I’m waiting for.
Teehee. Playing Super Luigi Bros via the XBOX One to test out the HDMI input. Works pretty smoothly so far. Now I just need to test it with a PS4 and a hub. The XBOX One may actually make this the first generation where I’ve truly got all the bases covered.
[Edit: Nooooo! There’s a slight lag on the input that makes the game just that little bit less responsive. =(]
I’m currently in a league for Warmachine/Hordes and will be playing/painting some stuff for that.
Keep on playing Dragons Dogma, maybe some Halo: Reach or ODST.

i just finished the first temple in the Dark World. Marathon gaming session ahead me thinks.
Deadrising 3, maybe more of the single player for that new AOE 2 HD DLC a little annoyed they didn’t voice over any of the stuff.
In 10 years of PC gaming I’ve never dabbled with mods so I’m going to try my hand with Fallout 3 and Skyrim
Hey Cufcfan616 I have been modding Skyrim for ages. Its amazing what you can do to vanilla Skyrim, it looks and playins so much better now with all the mods and I am having a blast. There are some amazing mods out there. If you want some structure to your modding search for STEP on the Skyrim nexus mod site, they have a great guide to what mods work well together. Have fun!

I have been downloading AC IV for two days on PC and I hope it is ready to play tonight. I am also finally playing Skyrim after many months of modding. I am enjoying my PC and feel no desire to get a new console.

Awesome, exactly what I was hoping for out of an all in one entertainment and gaming system back when Sony announced the PlayTV. The new Kinect is actually useful, voice commands are pretty natural, and games run really well. Also dead silent unlike the previous gen of consoles.

I too have a number of choices. Since year 12 work has heavily prevented me from playing anything, I haven’t been able to get into Pokemon Y properly. Finished my last exam as of about two weeks ago, so I’ll be ripping into that game over the weekend. Also bought Tearaway yesterday, so no doubt I’ll be switching between the two games. Fire Emblem: Awakening… Dragon’s Crown… Second run through of Zelda: Skyward Sword… Second run through of Kingdom Hearts 3D…

Just got the platinum for far cry 3 and am almost at that for dragons dogma. Saints row 4 if my mate gets his in the mail. Either that or the giant dollop of games for the vita off ps+. Have to do something until the ps4 arrives…
Even the. Lego marvel just got delayed for the ps4 too… So I will only have killzone and rezo gun for the first few weeks anyway.
Splinter Cell Blacklist Spies vs Mercs
PS4 arrived yesterday, but still waiting on my two games from a separate order. Borrowed CoD Ghosts from a coworker who has games, but no console – will likely bang out the campaign, since no one’s playing multi yet. All other time will be spent on Link Between Worlds and BF4, methinks.

Same – I got my PS Camera today from Ozgameshop (its a lot tinier than I thought), so now just waiting for some games and then the console to be delivered next Friday…
While I’m waiting it’ll be P3P on my Vita (85+ hours in) as well as Saints Row 3 from the PS+ collection. I really don’t like SR3 for some reason.

Star Wars – Tiny Death Star. I’m stuck in the Gold Coast until Monday night. Normally this would be awesome, but here for work (coaching at school futsal championships), it’s full of schoolies and toolies plus I have my Xbox One sitting at home that my wife picked up for me today……. sigh.

I will be playing more of LoL’s “All for one” mode. I have played 2 games so far, and it is crazy fun. 10 jinxes on screen is something special.
Aside from that, I will be dipping more into Blacklight Retribution, maybe getting into Planetside 2, but if the tutorial is really, really horrible, so my perception has been somewhat soured.
Also more RIFT, because daily quests.
Oh, and replaying Katawa Shoujo, doing Emi route this time. That game is every bit as good as people say. A great visual novel.
