Aww, The Pokémon We Wonder Trade Have It Rough

Breeding is easier than ever in Pokemon X & Y--and you know what that means, right? More people have picked breeding up, which inevitably led to more not-quite-perfect reject Pokemon. And the more you think about what these imperfect Pokemon have to go through, the more depressing the whole situation seems.

Now that Pokemon introduced Wonder Trade -- which lets you put up a Pokemon for trade with a stranger -- it means that many people dump their undesirable Pokemon on the service. It's an easy way to get rid of them. But from the Pokemon's perspective, well -- it's kind of mean! Can you imagine how many times a Pokemon might go back into Wonder Trade before finding an owner that wants it?

Here's a comic from Renee P. on Tumblr that illustrates what I mean:

Aww, The Pokémon We Wonder Trade Have It Rough
Aww, The Pokémon We Wonder Trade Have It Rough

At least this has a happy ending, though....maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I don't think most Pokemon are as lucky as Bulbasaur :(

It's times like mass breeding that I wish there was a "Hessian Sack" item in the game, instantly releases all of the pokemon from a selected box, only useable near water...
    too dark?

You have to combine it with bricks to make it work.

On Xmas day after lunch I bred a couple of evees, named them variously holly and mistletoe, evolved them into leafeons, gave em pokerus and sent them off. Also sent off 3 delibirds named kris kringle, st nick and santa.

Oh jesus christ, it's suppose to be a happy evening tonight T_T The feels....

I usually breed starters because I'm sure they'll eventually find a home. Never give away caterpie or bidhoofs or similar - that'd be just cruel.

I'd love it if someone gave me a Bulbasaur in Wonder Trade...

I've been guilty of sending out bad pokemon but actually nowadays I make sure to only breed pokemon I think others might like (like my Zoruas with good attacks, Dratinis with Miracle Scale and good attacks, Infiltrator Noibats, Growlithes with good attacks, even some Froakies). I think, because of how X/Y has the pokemon around, my Eevees are the only redundant ones now XD But I hope every one of my pokemon find happy homes and I keep most of the starters I get (not Mudkips though for my own reasons >w<), especially Bulbasaurs XD They're so cute
