Galactic Princess asks you to venture into space to rescue a princess. It’s not what you’re doing that sounds cool, it’s how you’re doing it.
You have to design and build your ship, taking into account real physics. You need to hire a crew. You need to expand, you need to fight, you need to explore. The whole thing sounds like a more involved FTL, only with a catchy pixel art visual style to go along with it.
Oh, and one of the best zoom features I’ve seen in ages.
It’ll be turning up on Kickstarter soon, but you can see more of the game below.

Shut up and take my money!
That ship cross-section gif is so appealing. I’d love it if there were more systems and the ships engines and machinery shown in the cross-section – with little crawl spaces for engineers to go in and fix things. Like, a more realistically scaled ship with more “ship” and less “rooms”.
Wait, is that implying that FTL doesn’t have a catchy pixel art visual style too?
If this game plays similarly to FTL it will have my immediate support.
