People were once so excited about Hawken. It looked awesome, it had a wonderful visual design to it, and then… well, then it went free-to-play, and it didn’t have singleplayer, and that kinda took the wind out of a lot of people’s sails. A shame, but hey, the game still looks great, people are playing it, and the art still looks as good as ever.
The pieces you’re about to see come from the team’s continued work on the game, in particular a new map called Wreckage. Artists involved include Khang Le, Nhat Nguyen, Brandford Miles Williams, Wesley Griffith, Darren Quach and Jon Lee.

Too bad the lag for Hawken is so terrible in Australia. I never figured out how to “lead” my shots well enough to be able to compete with US players on US servers.
Anyone know if it’s improved enough with the new patch? Or know when there are players on the Australian servers?
I played it for a little bit with no lag at all, not sure where the servers I was on were located. Got bored with the grinding required to unlock anything reaaal fast though..
Mechwarrior online > Hawken
Two completely different games, though. All they share is the giant robot themes.
Besides that, ones a shooter, ones a sim.
