Back in October, a Kotaku source revealed that the next Aliens game was Alien: Isolation. Last night, screenshots rumoured to be of the game appeared online.
Four images popped up on Twitter account @Lifelower (via Eurogamer). You can see the other three below:
As Kotaku previously reported, the source said the star of Alien Isolation was Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, the character that made Sigourney Weaver famous. The game is apparently very much inspired by the first film.
Kotaku is following up with the source and reaching out to Sega for a comment.

Don’t think I can ever be excited for a Aliens game again, at least not before it’s out.
Sounds like it does weird things to the canon as well…
The important question is, will Randy Pitchford be there to lie about it again when it’s announced proper?
I’d like to hope they’ve learned their lesson after the last Aliens game, but I recall reading it still sold decently, so perhaps they haven’t… or I am just wrong.
Then again, if they use the below Amanda Ripley for their model it would perhaps make it worth while.

Nope, massive aliens fan but I am done being fed shit. Aliens ended back in 92. 10 years of crap… Apart from AvP on the PC way back when…
AvP2 on PC was ok too.
I’m not sure I’ll bother with this even if the game is great. What it’s likely to do to the canon is all sorts of messed up.
After colonial marinrs i promised myself i wouldn’t get excited about another aliens game, but here i am all excited hoping they redeem themselves.

The screens remind me of Dead Space. But after avp2010 & A:CM, I’m pretty tired of being fed garbage. I don’t hold much hope.
