​The Game That Lets You Create For Xbox One Is Now In Open Beta

Project Spark — a game creation suite that lets players make platformers, RPGs and much more — might be Microsoft's secret weapon for the Xbox One. Today, you can sign up to be among the first to try it out as long as you're using Windows 8.1.

If you're running the latest update to Microsoft's OS, you can go to the official Project Spark site and submit your name for the global beta. From Microsoft:

    I can't wait to get that email, this game is going to be amazing.

    Game? It is kind of a devkit really.

    Anyway, it looks cool, but not cool enough for me to install Windows8.

    This actually does have some potential... some games like Dota (2) and League of Legends were based on user-created content. Of course it also probably depends on how many ppl get this, and there will be a lot of fluff before any cream rises to the top.

      Yeah but what delicious cream it could be - you're totally right about some of the best new genres to come out of in-game mods. Spark is a lot more open from the get go so we should get some serious gems. You're right though - there will be loads of chaff to sift through first though.
