Friday saw the launch of the PlayStation 4 in the UK and The Sun’s notorious Page 3 treated blokes there to a new model — one much less curvy than usual.
Sony took over Page Three (and two) for a day, apologising (sigh, apologising) to “Rosie, 22, from Middlesex,” for displacing her. That couldn’t have been a cheap ad, but I’d say it hit the target audience.

Great marketting.
Must have cost an arm and a leg though! In fact, a whole body.
Bazinga!
Damn, that’s sexy.
The lack of curvyness or interesting design is something I find a little disappointing about the new consoles when compared to the previous generation. It’s not that big a deal, but it seemed like both Sony and Microsoft put a lot more effort into making their consoles look like something a bit different with the PS3 and 360. I guess the PS4 has that skewed parallelogram shape going on, but the XBone isn’t a far cry from the VHS I had back in the late 80s.
Curves are so 2003. Its all about straight lines and angles now
It’s cyclical. Wood veneer > clear plastic > silver > piano black > matte black. If the Xbone gets a wood-panelled refresh, it would look exactly like an old VCR and the cycle would repeat anew.
