Dayshot: What The Characters In Japanese-Themed Zelda Would Look Like

Artist Liza van Kempen did a great job showing us what the characters in a Japanese-themed The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker would look like, by changing the atmosphere and everyone's outfit, yet keeping the original art style of the game. The larger, original image has a few more characters on it, as you can see below.

    Isn't Zelda already Japanese themes?

I was thinking the same thing.

While Hyrule is obviously based on a western medieval/fantasy sort of deal, I always took the majority of the theming and elements to be heavily based on Ainu culture, particularly the outfits and styles of iconography.
Even their proposed Flag looks like something out of Zelda haha.

Nice. All you have to do now is shrink Link, put him on the back of a wolf and you have Ookami. Or at least a crossover I'd pay real money for.
