Let Japan Amuse You with GIFs

Yes, there are your typical GIFs: You know, the ones from anime, movies, and viral videos. But beyond those, there are some creative GIFs coming out of Japan.

Japanese website Daily Portal Z holds annual "Domestic GIF Anime Award," asking readers to submit their GIF creations in various categories. The submissions are something else. Some are like little short GIF films. Others are just... interesting?

Here are some entries from over the years as well as some from Daily Portal's "GIF Research Group". That sounds like an important group!

      Complain about gifs.

I'm a bit confused about the top one. Not about the bidet, I know what that is, but the translations. They appear to have translated "おしり" ("butt") as "spray". If you combine the two, "butt spray" makes sense, but that would mean the first would translate to "stop stop".
