Some pics leaked earlier in the week, but LEGO has today taken the official wraps off its take on The Simpson’s house. And oh my God.
The outside of the house is a good recreation, but it’s inside where the place really shines. There’s a full interior, each room decorated with accessories you’d hope for/expect, from the Krusty poster in Bart’s room, Maggie’s crib and a TV that’s playing Itchy & Scratchy. Here’s the full list of inclusions and specs. You may want to grab a cup of tea first before settling in.
- Includes 6 minifigures: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Ned Flanders
- First floor includes yellow and light-blue tiled floor, sink, oven and stove, drawers, cups, pot, pan, bowl, mixer, plates, cake tins, cutlery, dining table and 4 chairs
- Living room features TV playing Itchy and Scratchy, couch, boat painting, telephone, carpet, purple piano and staircase to the second floor with family photos
- Bart’s room features a bed, night lamp, desk with pin board, chair, Krusty the Clown poster, skateboard, shelves with books, radio and a cap
- Marge and Homer’s bedroom features a bed, 2 side tables, Maggie’s crib and Marge’s bag
- Lisa’s room features a vanity mirror with hairbrush, stool, bed, table with lamp and cup, shelves with books, magnifying glass, backpack and a jazz poster on the wall
- Bathroom features a shower, toilet, sink and a mirror
- Detachable garage features the family car, tools, workbench, tool rack, vacuum cleaner, toolbox and a broom
- Family car with space for 4 minifigures features a dent in the front and an opening trunk to store Homer’s suitcase and a ‘radioactive’ bar from the nuclear power plant
- Outside area includes a grill, wheelbarrow and air conditioning unit with ‘Property of Ned Flanders’ decoration, sausages, 2 garden loungers, flowerpots, a shovel, 2 fruit cocktail glasses, Lisa’s camera, Bart’s skateboard ramp with ‘El Barto’ graffiti and an antenna on the roof
- Can you spot all the items Homer has “borrowed” from Ned Flanders?
- Remove the roof and top floor to access the different rooms inside
- House is hinged in the middle for easy access
- The perfect set for fans of LEGO® brick building and The Simpsons™!
- The Simpsons™ House measures over 9″ (23cm) high, 16″ (42cm) wide and 9″ (24cm) deep
The set includes over 2500 pieces, and costs $US200. Not bad, considering all the stuff you get with it.

I don’t understand why Simpsons figurines or whatever always have to have stoner eyes like that.
The exact same thing I was thinking
Why are three of the characters half asleep?
It’s a good concept, and reasonably well done, but something about it is a bit underwhelming. Everything is a bit cramped, and the walls too thick or thin in some places.
Like most LEGO sets, it could be improved, but at least they haven’t skimped on pieces.
That is not 3x the size. That is 3x the height.
That’s what we call 3x the size in common language. What would you want her to say ? “9 times the volume” ?
I want the attic so I can react the Hugo; the twin brother.
Been following the story on Brickset. When I saw it I swooned. But it’s not going to be $200 here, I reckon $280. For 2500 pieces, its still good value, and I like it, but it doesn’t fit in with my Friends/City themes, so I dont think Ill be getting it. Might pick up the character polybags though.
Where can you get the polybags for figures? I never see them anywhere.
They’re usually in a toy store’s checkout line (such as Toys ‘R’ Us)
Sorry I meant for figures from the sets based on franchises, Star Wars, Marvel etc.
@kangle4
They aren’t available yet. Lego have announced that they will sell Simpsons characters on their own. I assume they would be in polybags like the rest of the minifigures. They’re up to Series 11 on those, then there is the Lego Movie ones (kind of but not really Series 12) and then they are likely to do the Simpsons ones (kind of but not really Series 13). Unless they have a different plan for distribution. And only 16 figures does seem small. Either way, they wont be out until at least after the movie, and Im guessing not until after June.
I’m guessing $300. 11c/piece is about Australian S@H, but licensed sets always have some premium so it’ll likely be a fair bit higher than that.
TAKE MY GOD DAMN MONEY NOW!!!
If anyone collects the Modular Buildings, the Palace Cinema is $169 at MightyApe:

Which by the way is really cheap since they retail for $150 US. It looks like it’ll be an expensive set later due to having quite a few unique pieces. Plus it’s pretty neat.
Works out to be ~$180 with shipping. It’s a good price but personally, I’d go for $200 Lego S@H and get VIP points for a future discount. They also have free shipping, and every now and then, throw in a free promo polybag minifig or small set like the 40082 Christmas Tree Stand a couple months ago (reselling for $30+).
Yeah it’s a nice price there, but would you get over $20 worth of future discounts? (It’s actually about $177, but lets round it up).
I still reckon the $23 saving is pretty good.
If you nab it during VIP points sales, they boost your points by 50% or so, and it’s around $30ish for more expensive sets like this, Again, very situational. If you don’t care for shopping around, then TRU USA and Amazon.de (German) usually have good prices on modular sets all year round, with shipping.
Barts lucky red cap! Does looked cramped, but good eye for details!
Maggie’s power drill was good too. Thought she had a gun for a second.
I nearly fell off my chair when it was rumoured last week, but came out of the reveal video kind of cool about it… something about the aesthetics of it doesn’t sit right with me. Oh well.
$200 ?? Yeah right I reckon it’ll retail for $400 in Australia. Any others with a possible price ? Lets start the insanity.
I’m sorry but the eyes suck
