XCOM-Like Espionage Game Renamed To Invisible, Inc.

Remember Incognita? (I do!) It's no longer known by that name. Klei Entertainment has renamed it Invisible, Inc., saying that title resonated more with focus groups.

"After some focus testing, Invisible, Inc. was better received than the old Incognita," Klei said on its official forums. "Our focus of the design does not change in that it will still be a game of turn-based tactical espionage."

Invisible, Inc. still does not have a full release date but Klei is offering access to an alpha (Windows only) of the game through Steam Early Access for those who preorder. The game is still on course for a 2014 release. There are more details on the game's official page.

It's decisions like these that make me feel that focus groups are full of bumbling, drooling morons.

In the immortal words of Agent K - "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. "

I prefer Invisible Inc so I guess I'm part of the problem

Incognita is not a very good name either. I feel both are pretty generic

Eh, Incognita was a very non-descript name. I'm all for more pun names in gaming.

Wasn't there a series of kids books in the 90s called Invisible Inc? About a group of kid detectives, one of whom was invisible?

Yes, apparently. God knows why I remember that.
