If you have $US450,000 lying around and a penchant for ancient internet jokes, you could be the proud owner of Lemonparty’s still active, still-NSFW domain.
The site’s owner is a Mr Eric Johnson, who The Daily Dot perfectly describe as “a purposefully vague 20-something freelance Web marketer who started buying strange URLs after he came across Poo.com in middle school”.
Apparently the site still gets 10,000 visitors a day, and Johnson says he’s received around 50 offers so far. You’ve got to think at least one of those is from a bored, sentimental internet billionaire with fond memories of pranks involving lewd old dudes.
Lemonparty, one of the Web’s classic grossout sites, is for sale [TDD]

Wtf. Highly irrelevant to gaming…. Why would you even post this mate. Quite dissapointing to see this posted.
If you are so offended by this article, you could have just… you know…. Not clicked on it.
Yet again to say this, it’s in the ‘in real life’ part, which doesn’t refer to gaming itself. Plus, damn man, lemonparty has stung all of us at one stage and harmed our eyes, like goatse did when we’ve had a friend nasty enough to refer us to those sites at least once in our lives? Right? I CANT be the only one…
He/she fails to realize that Kotaku is for gaming CULTURE, Not just gaming
Are lewd old men part of internet culture?
Yeah, it’s called lemonparty.
nope http://bit.ly/1isZe9o
NOT a chance of clicking that one…
I clicked it…. then I realised I clicked it… my heart then stopped…. thank god it was sfw. O_O
Yeah, any link in this thread is immediately suspect just for mental security reasons…
Arrgh goatse a classic wrong on so many levels. Just like Meat Spin & Blue Waffle. Wrong so wrong.
Don’t think I know Blue Waffle. The ones that got me worst were Mudslide and Pressure Spot (I think).
You don’t want to know.
I’ve never even heard of any of those including lemonparty, judging by all the comments that’s probably a good thing.
I’ve heard of them, but never been tricked into clicking a bad link or googling them, so thankfully my eyes have been spared. Curious as to what mudslide and pressure spot (as mentioned by Gooky) are, but I still ain’t googling them (I’m curious, not stupid).
I don’t know Blue Waffle either, but we tricked a guy that if you watch meatspin for 1000 ticks you get a free screen saver….
we were at a lan party at the time, then 20 mins later, he’s pipped up “Hey, I didn’t get a screen saver, it’s just still going” fun times…
We went all Insanity Wolf at a LAN and used meatspin for the music one time.
Totally relevant to gaming, I encountered lemonparty on PCPowerPlay’s old irc channel on austnet
Yeah I encountered it on GameFAQs, as well as classics like goatse, meatspin, 2 girls 1 cup and BME pain Olympics. But heavy moderation and strict ToS on a video game message board usually followed with a ban hammer to the user who posted it and led me to lurk much more evil NSFW places to corrupt my eyeballs with… 😛
In my opinion, these shock sites and internet memes go hand in hand with gaming culture.
“It wouldn’t be a Lemon party without old Dick” – Dick Lemon, 30 Rock.
That website is… unacceptable!
