The Witcher 3 is coming out this year and, in case you didn’t know, it’s sorta looking really super good. But if you’re anything like me, you might have missed out on the first couple of games. This steam sale, which takes 80% off both The Witcher and The Witcher 2, is as good an excuse as any to play catch up.
Basically, over the course of this weekend, you can pick up both games for under $6. That’s pretty insane. Especially considering the The Witcher 2 isn’t really that old!
Very good deal. Might be time to get ready for The Witcher 3.

I was just thinking about the Witcher a couple of days ago, and how I can’t find the disc anywhere.
Click, click, $2.50, click, solved.
Gotta love this world we’re living in.
Apparently they are great games. But, note, that the control scheme is vastly different to anything else.
E.g. combat is: target something, click mouse button. Have a 1v1 battle where you essentially just spam buttons.
Personally I hated #1 and gave up after 20 mins, so I can’t speak for the entire game…
I was the same, really didn’t like the controls in either game. Just felt.. bad. I’m gonna cop it for this too, but I found the character models to look distractedly terrible (even on ultra).
I’ve been told #2 controls are way better (improved?) from #1. Still haven’t launched it, but I’ll give it a fair attempt to impress me that it’s playable (read: 30 minutes).
Can’t exactly remember the player models, but #1 graphics maxed out definitely show their age.
Bought purely on the back of Hex’s constant raving of the series, and that trailer for the third game caus hot damn that was a nice trailer
