Days In Toyland: Window-Shopping At Toy Fair 2014

Days In Toyland: Window-Shopping at Toy Fair 2014

The grand rollout of the coming year's wares -- Toy Fair 2014 -- happened in New York this weekend, already kicking out news of the next Transformers game earlier today. It's also a showcase for the new collection of figures, both fully posable and less so. Take a peek inside.

Evan Narcisse patrolled Toy Fair 2014 for us, bringing back these looks at Transformers, Star Wars, LEGO and GI Joe, sometimes in combination (is that a LEGO Wolverine? -- no, the GI Joe missile tank, not the Mr. Potato-head thing at the bottom).

Enjoy.

Grimlock looks like pointy metal shit.

Is it just me or do the Toys look worse every movie?

These official Transformers look so cheap and dodgy these days that ..I kid you not.. they have just started to put an 'Authentic Transformer' logo on the boxes.

Of course, Hasbro is acknowledging that Knock Off transformers exist but this big and simple logo printed on the box is about the easiest thing to copy. It makes no sense.

I'm looking at the Generations series which are actually really good, but the recent Prime Beast Hunters and the Movie Transformers are terrible.

Grimlock has to be the worst proportioned Dinosaur ever made and considering how bad some of the G1's where that's saying a lot. Even Optimus Prime seems to have his proportions screwed up.
