Making A Medieval Video Game Looks Really Fun

Making A Medieval Video Game Looks Really Fun

Developer diaries are normally my enemy, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance gets a pass today, as dudes with medieval swords (and crossbows!) strap cameras to themselves and just go at it, all in the name of making better video game combat.

Will it actually contribute to a realistic, enjoyable combat system? Who knows, that’s the – pardon the medieval pun – Holy Grail of first-person game development, but at the very least these guys had fun researching.

The 1v1 stuff they show early on looks a bit janky (hey, it’s still in development!), but those shots from inside the middle of a giant battlefield look awesome.
