I’ve got some serious first world gaming problems right now. I have the Titanfall Beta, which I am super, super keen to play. I have Dark Souls, which I’m totally in love with. I have to get through these games as much as possible in time for next week when Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze comes out.
I’m sort of feeling stressed out. Like this is November stressed out.
For the past month or so I’ve been loving games, mainly because the release schedule was so light I could play what I wanted without worrying about not being up to speed with whatever games were coming out that week That’s all set to change. The tail end of February is just the beginning. March is going to be crazy.
Oh man. The Dark Souls party may be over.

Let me relieve you of the burden that is the TitanFall beta key master…
I should probably finish Infamous 2 at some point.. Since Second Son is out what next month and I have that pre-ordered.
Also I should probably start the Last of us & finish Beyond Two Souls since they’re just sitting there since I picked them up boxing day. But I have more of a temptation to replay Heavy Rain than finish Beyond Two Souls.
The Last of Us: Left Behind!
The angel DLC for Dead rising 3
Change of plans, downloading titanfall beta now 😀 if anyone wants to team up send me a friend invite,
Hopefully Titanfall.
Lightning Returns
I’m gonna take a break from Dark Souls this weekend.
If my copies of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Fable: Anniversary arrive in the mail today, I’ll probably get stuck into them, if not it’ll be Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (or should I play The Walking Dead Season 2 Ep 1 and The Wolf Among Us Ep 1 & 2), then some Ducktales: Remastered (woohoo), probably knock out the last 2 achievements in Lococycle after that, then on to Far Cry Classic, with some Poker Night At The Inventory 2 and Plants Vs. Zombies on 360 inbetween. It really feels weird playing it with a controller after spending so much time on it on PC.
Also, probably jump into the Titanfall Beta if I have time.
If you haven’t played it already Tomb Raider is pretty sweet. I spent last weekend playing it on the XBOX One and loved it. It really made me want a Green Arrow origin game.
Already played through it once on 360 when it first came out. I enjoyed it, so I’m happy to play through it again, with updated graphics etc. Postman hasn’t been yet today, but Ozgameshop only shipped it on Monday, so it probably won’t come until next week.
Yeah, the Definitive Edition is really pretty. For me it’s been my first ‘this is next gen’ experience on PS4. That said, I have yet to try AC4 on it.
Sorry I didn’t get back to you last week about Skylanders. I did a little bit of searching, and from what I can gather, it shouldn’t really matter which ISP you’re with. It’s really weird though that only Aussies on PS4 can’t get the Newsworthy trophy. I would probably e-mail Vicarious Visions or Activision directly about it.
Yeah, we’ve been doing a Twitter and Facebook campaign, and I also messaged Vicarious Visions and Activision Support about it (and Sony as well for good measure). They are ‘investigating’ it, and have been now for around a month or more. I’m not holding out too much hope as the user-base – Australian PS4 Skylanders players – is just to small to warrant money being spent on it. Very sad 🙁
Xenoblade Chronicles
I know I’ve already got too much on my plate with work, house work and a back catalog of games, but I really want to take a swing at Fable Anniversary.
hopefully Titanfall beta if I get a key, but I just got a code for Minecraft on Xbox and some DLC codes apparently so I want to check that out. Don’t think the game is released yet so that is kinda cool 🙂
Dragon’s Dogma. So much Dragon’s Dogma.
Outlast and Lego Marvel
Tales of Xillia.
Finally…
My PS4 is back with Sony getting replaced this weekend 🙁 (the disc drive was faulty and would just wake up at 3am every morning and start beeping and grinding) so in lieu of that I will probably be smashing out Ni No Kuni and Animal Crossing on the 3DS.
Titanfall and Dark Souls.
Apparently EB sent me a Titanfall code for being Level 4. I think I might spend too much money…
If you shop at EB, then yes, you spend too much money.
ZING.
True. I usually only buy from there for consoles or for preordering collector’s editions.
DayZ. I need to walk somewhere and find something. Not sure where or what, but I’m pretty confident I can do it. Or die trying. Hahahahaha. See what I did there? That’s funny. I’m funny.
Probably Eternal Sonata.
Then some Outlast and maybe a bit of Starbound.
My PS4 disc drive is also dead so nothing. Thanks Sony.
Well, I should probably get back to the tomb of the giants in darksouls but I really don’t want to run through the bonewheel room in the catacombs again because my game is being a butt and didn’t register that I’d rested at the bonfire … other than that I’ve got to start a project to create a custom necronomicon from the evil dead series, so I’ll probably spend a few hours creating a custom font based off screen grabs and then converting the Evil Dead 2 script to it and seeing how many pages I get
Lightning Returns mixed with Dark Souls and Bravely Default.
Metro Last Light. Fairly enjoyable game so far, although I came across a couple of bugs so far and had to restart levels.
Oh and playing the daily challenges in Rayman Legends
Metro 2033 and Last Light are some of the most atmospheric games I’ve ever played. Highly underrated. I play them both at least once a year :p
Assuming I don’t get a Titanfall beta key, I’ll continue on with Game of Thrones RPG on PC, which is turning out far better than it’s metascore rating would otherwise suggest. Once done I may jump back into Dead Rising 3 since I haven’t finished it yet, or I may just sink another 6 hours into FTL now that I’ve finally unlocked the Crystal ship.
Game of Thrones was quite well written, I thought. Having the dual characters was a really good idea, as you will see as you get further through the game. I got the platinum for it on PS3 a while back when it was on sale. Hopefully they will do another GoT game for next gen.
I’m a little over halfway I think.
Mors has returned to his cottage with Jeyne and discovered she’s pregnant with one of Robert’s bastards. Alester has discovered his brother was murdered when Valarr sent assassins sent to kill another of Robert’s bastards under Cersei’s orders and took the opportunity to wipe out who he thought was the last of the Sarwyck heirs so he could marry Elyana and become Lord of Riverspring. It’s engaging stuff! Obviously written to tie in with the setup for book 1/season 1 of the TV series so it would be familiar to newcomers and old fans of the books alike, and highly interesting. I look forward to seeing more like it, though the combat could stand to be polished a bit more next time.
Yeah, the combat is pretty easy 🙂 The magic item system is okay, although a little shallow. I like Alester’s Red Priest powers quite a bit, whilst Mors has his doge to help him out… so cute!
Titanfall Beta if I get a key, if not – more DayZ SA and Breaking Point for Arma 3, with Danganronpa/Toukiden on Vita.
Titty fall!
I’ve been playing a lot of Amalur in the last couple of weeks. Man is that game long! Over 50 hours of recorded gametime and I’m only about 1/4 of the way through.
Other then that I might try some co-op games.
Well I just killed the last boss in Demon’s Souls last night, so maybe onto Dark Souls now?
Pokemon bank & related
Valkyria chronicles
I wish I could say Titanfall…but obviously I’m not amongst the elite bastards that received an invite.
Ah well, NBA All Star Weekend any way.
Hopefully, some Injustice on PS3.
Skylanders with my Skylanders obsessed 3yo, apart from that I have lofty ideals about what I’ll play but it’ll probably end up being Black Ops II!
What system are you playing Skylanders on? I only ask because there seems to be a problem preventing Australian PS4 users from connecting to the Activision servers.
360 – I can’t say it’s ever been an issue for us but apart from a daily message board what are the online features?
Just leaderboards and comparing collections with friends. Not a huge deal but missing out on a platinum because of a broken game is annoying.
Not board games /o\
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix
Why did i wait so long to get this. I’ve been playing this all week on and off with watching J Pop, since the music in KH makes me feel like endless Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu listening sessions
Outlast on PS4, while my GF holds my arm.
Just finished the shower sequence last night with the twin cannibals who look like Tony Abbott.
So if she gets a shock and jumps suddenly, your hand might be pulled away from the controller at a crucial moment? That’s some hardcore survival horror right there
Well I’ve not gotten my titanfall beta key yet so I assume it must just be lost in the mail with the xbox one they’re also sending me to play it on for being the most delusional person in Australia…
If that hasn’t arrived by the end of the day I’ll probably be playing GTA Online & checking out the new valentines day massacre content, continuing my apparently futile quest for a gun and a convenient time slot to coop with my norwegian mate in DayZ standalone and I just got the demo key for Dead State from kickstarter so I’ll probably be playing through that and perhaps doing a video walkthrough
Looks like i’ll be hitting Saints Row IV and hopefully finishing that off tomorrow, then onto Battlefield 4 and finishing that. then onto final fantasy lighting returns, I was going to get Dragon ball z battle of z but in a way its let me down.
How do you finish Battlefied 4………………….. oh the campaign, I forgot it had one.
Yeah i don’t think its that good, though getting sick of playing multiplayer so i thought why not give the campaign another attempt.
BF4
Three letters: TxK.
Pretty much owning my free time since it launched this week on the Vita. Easily some of the best work Minter’s produced, and one of the most slick games on the system. Plus, the soundtrack is incredible.
Finally got around to arkham Origins last week. But now I’m currently playing (and surprisingly enjoying) lightning returns. It’s actually quite refreshing to play an open world Final Fantasy again.
PREPARE FOR TITANFALL
Still hammering my way through Might and Magic X: Legacy!
Vita – Monster Monpiece (slowly translating the import version – with luck I’ll be finished before the EU version is released) It really is a good game attached to a mediocre VN.
PS3 – Skylanders SWAP Force (just got score mode and Nightmare to finish to get the platinum).
PS4 – Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (sooooo purdy – this is what next gen should look like).
i’m finally finishing ICO. i love loads about the game, the soundtrack, character and world design, but it’s the first game in ages that i’ve had to refer to a play guide more than once due to lack of explanation or direction (or just shitty, shitty controls).
i preferred Shadow of the Colossus.
