This fancy machine just broke the world record for solving a Rubik’s cube. While pathetic humans can take minutes to get the job done, the CUBESTORMER 3 takes just 3.25 seconds.
What I like about the CUBESTORMER 3 isn’t just the name (you’d say it in ALL CAPS in your mind even if it wasn’t already in ALL CAPS). It’s the look. Most functional robots tend to look spindly, valuing practicality over appearance. The CUBESTORMER 3 instead looks like something that would roll off the production line at Skynet.
The CUBESTORMER 3 broke the world record set by…the CUBESTORMER 2, which took a lazy 5 seconds to complete the task. Expect the CUBESTORMER 17 to go back in time and show Rubik how to make a better cube.

Is this how it begins… SKYNET?
Skyneticles?
wasn’t this on here a week ago?
Is it just me or were there very few moves required for that particular cube?
I vaguely remember that in setting up a cube ready to be solved for competitions, the cube is only moved about 15 times. coz after about 15 moves, it’s reached its maximum messed-up-ness.
so the reverse is true I guess, any 3x3x3 cube should be solveable in about 15 moves.
Give it 24 hours and Japan will have turned it into an interactive masturbatory aid.
