Rise Of The Dark Spark Is A Tale Of Three Optimus Primes

Rise Of The Dark Spark Is A Tale Of Three Optimus Primes

We knew Activision's upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark combined two Transformers continuities. Now it's three, as the original Optimus Prime arrives to show the other two how it's done.

Maybe that's not a good thing. Having recently rewatched the entire original Transformers cartoon series, I've come to the realisation that Optimus Prime was not a very good leader at all. He made bad decisions, showed poor judgement -- all he really had going for him was he was the tallest, most of the time. That's probably why he's only playable in Escalation mode.

Now that I think about it, movie Optimus Prime isn't much better. He let Megatron and his folks kill countless people because he didn't want to give him the Allspark -- which he knew would kill Megatron if he tried to use it. Dumb.

The Optimus from War for and Fall of Cybertron comes closest to being the hero the Autobots deserve. Well, he seems to have evacuating a planet down to a science. That's all he's really been in charge of for the past two games. They shall remember him as the Great Evacuator. Nobody leaves as well as Optimus Prime.

Ugh, that title is so atrocious. Two of the laziest worst subtitles rolled into one.

No optimus did not want megatron to get the all spark so he could not turn all earths technology into soldiers, optimus was going to place the spark in his chest to destroy it so he could not have it, Sam saved him by pushing the cube into megatrons chest in which he got that idea from optimus telling him to do it to him

You know I was really looking forward to the sequel to Fall of Cybertron... until it turned into this Bayformers pile of sh**. Now I'll only pick it up if it doesn't get torn apart in the reviews and if it's <$10 on Steam.

I'm the same, I loved Highmoon's work. When i saw the first trailer my heart sank so fast it almost fell out the bottom of me. damn you Micheal bay. damn you for taking the last bastion of transformers goodness.

I will never get over the whingey bay haters... So you would rather the new game make less money and flop just so you can keep your "perfect" transformers universe... if it wasn't for the bay films transformers wouldn't be still as big as it is today you ingrates! it's far for perfect but Jesus Christ id like to see you nubs do better?? you wouldn't have a clue hahaha

I dont understand why they are trying to tie the shitty movie stuff into the amazing games.

Because they are trying to get people to like the shitty Bay stuff. The Generations Toyline of Transformers is big among us big kids who are into it. Now the Movie toys are being sold under the Generations line. Most toy fans are annoyed, it adds a whole bunch of crap we don't want to searches.

The thing is, people do like the shitty Bay Stuff. I couldn't tell you why exactly, but those are enormously successful movies. I'd suggest tagging the movie onto the game is an attempt to sell more games, not pull in more movie punters.

Hey, it worked for the Erkins.

Optimums was the leader because he had the coolest voice.
