It’s not a new Marvel movie without a Gameloft-developed mobile game tie-in. Behold The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the much prettier sequel to Gameloft’s bestselling The Amazing Spider-Man.
While I’ve had problems with some of Gameloft’s other superhero-based offerings (Iron Man 3, bleh), the first Amazing Spider-Man was actually quite good, channeling the spirit of the Activision console games at their best. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 promises a larger, more attractive New York City to swing about freely in, along with confrontations with some of the upcoming movie’s big bads.
I’m hopeful for this one. Throw in iOS controller support, and I’m all the way in.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 next month.

Didn’t these guys make the Despicable Me 2 game on mobile devices? I thought that was good for an endless runner. Waiting to see how this turns out..
