The Newest Star Wars Video Game Comes Out Today

If you’ve ever wanted to make C-3PO part of an elite strike force, now’s your chance.

Disney continues to roll out collectible card games with Star Wars branding on them, with today’s release of Star Wars Assault Team. It’s a free-to-play game for mobile and PC with in-app purchases, where you have to deploy rosters of familiar Star Wars heroes against enemy squads:

Build and Customise a Team:Collect hundreds of character cards to create the ultimate team using such heroes as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Boba Fett, and more.

Advance Heroes: Train, improve and strategically deploy each character’s special attacks, making a team even more dominant against ever-powerful enemies.

Player vs. Player Combat:Fight against other players in PvP battles to win extra rewards.

Original Story: Complete all-new missions set between Star Wars:Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars:Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

Force Collection, the game that preceded Assault Team, was pretty dull . Hopefully, Assault Team nudges things along a little bit. It’s available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone stores.
