AirMech Arena Is Like DOTA For People Who Love Robots

AirMech Arena Is Like DOTA For People Who Love Robots

If you’ve always wanted to have more automatons in your DOTA experience, then I may have just the thing for you. AirMech Arenais a fast-paced free-to-play MOBA that puts you control of giant killer mechs that can transform into vehicles like a military jet or helicopter. And it’s coming out for the Xbox 360 in the third quarter of 2014, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

If that sounds a bit like the new Transformers MOBA (sorry, MOTA), well, it is. But the main thing AirMech has going for it is that the game, which has already been available on the PC since 2012, will launch for a good old fashioned console as well. Carbon Games told Kotaku way back in 2011 that they were already testing the game for mouse-and-keyboard and gamepad support, so hopefully the game won’t need any major adjustments for its new home on the console.
