I remember my first viewing of Richard Kelly’s cult classic, Donnie Darko, as if it were late last night in a quiet, somewhat creepy house, silence pierced only by faint whistle of a rapidly descending jet engine. It went something like this (spoilers!).

The 8-bit movie translators over at CineFix did an amazing job with Donnie Darko, capturing the key moments without lingering too long on any one element. It feels as if I’d just watched the film proper and am now rolling about in the afterglow.
