Disabled Gamer Plays Minecraft With His Eyebrows

Disabled Gamer Plays Minecraft With His Eyebrows

Alexander Kostov, who has spinal muscular atrophy, can’t play video games using a keyboard or controller. Instead, he uses special equipment — voice controls, hand switches and so forth. Now, thanks some help from the folks at the British charity organisation Special Effect (which supports gamers with disabilities), Kostov can control Minecraft with his eyebrows.

They had to be VERY carefully positioned and safely mounted, but Alex is a natural. He can flip his eyebrows quickly and independently, and within ten minutes of using the switches in Minecraft, he’s clicking one to jump and then, while in the air, using the other to place a block under his feet. Neat.

He already plays FIFA in mouse mode using his eye gaze system and voice controls, but with the new switches for pass and shoot, he scored within a couple of minutes.

So cool.
