Whenever I get to feeling nostalgic about the 3D platformer-saturated days of the Nintendo 64 and PS1, Gears for Breakfast’s upcoming PC game A Hat In Time arrives to cheer me up with a new trailer and fresh screens.
I’ve yet to get my hands on A Hat in Time, unlike the completely smitten Patricia Hernandez, so all i have to go on are her impressions and what I’ve seen in trailers. That might change soon, as the game’s alpha build is available now to preorderers and appropriate level Kickstarter backers, so all I need is a spare $US40 or so to make it happen.

Alpha build… $40…
I got burned by Cube World. This looks amazing, but I’ll wait for a final release.
yeah. $40 for the finished product, but not for the alpha. still… looks very impressive so far. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
I loved (and still love) Cube World, but it died pretty quickly and I’m up to Power 97. Although I have no regrets about CW, it pretty much was the catalyst for never buying alpha/beta/early access games again.
backed this on kickstarter ages ago… think i only did the $15 option so i’ll be waiting a while to play it lol
